Learn more about Karan Beef’s commitment to producing sustainable beef products, uplifting its staff and community and addressing environmental concerns naturally.
Our nature sanctuary on the Heidelberg farm hosts the widest collection of waterfowl in South Africa and is also home to 10 species of antelope. Our wetland plays a vital role in the farm’s management and acts as a natural bio-filtration system. It allows us to preserve a valuable part of our rich heritage and to address environmental concerns naturally.
We are in full compliance with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and are audited every year. Our dedicated ISO department and professional consultants ensure Karan Beef’s legal compliance.
The Karan Beef group has signed a code of conduct with the Institute of Waste Management South Africa to ensure environmental responsibility. We place great value on animal welfare and are affiliated to the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA). We are also a member of the South African Pest Control Association (SAPCA) and several other environmental forums to provide sustainable beef products.
